Coleridge....... OH!! I've heard that name before!!

I've honestly only heard Coleridge's name in reference in high school, so its refreshing to actually read him. In his poem, the pains of sleep, I felt like it was a reflection on the day he just experienced. Sometimes, I find myself looking backwards instead of forwards. When we focus too much on the past and the issues that can't be changed, we won't look forward to the beauty of life. When he's speaking on the, "Life-stifling fear, soul-stifling shame!", it's unsettling and honestly a little sad to think that these things could be rushing through a mind when they are trying to find rest, whether that be physical and/or mental. And the final line I saw on the paper, which reads, "I wept as I had been a child,". It makes me feel so humbled, to remember that we can all be broken down to our childlike state, and weep.

P.S. I commented on Phillip's and Nate's posts
