The Book of Faust?

First of all, I find it funny how the main characters of the beginning of this are in groups of threes, like the holy trinity. The basic plot for this also feels like it's what inspired "The Book of Life" movie that came out like 3 years ago. The idea of two powerful figures placing a bet of sorts over one person and their choices. Personally I found the movie dumb, and I barely remember the rest of the plot other than that.
Faust's choice to fix his boredom isn't truly a fix though, if you'd ask me. Mephisopheles giving him all he wants? Sounds nice, right? Well what's an earthly possession to a man who can have whatever he wants. In the end, would't he be more bored than ever? There's nothing he can't have, so why try at all?
