Nature and a bomb

First I want to apologize for the meh title because I couldn't really get creative with this one nor did I really understand this one-hundred percent but I did get some things out of it. I really liked the "improvised verses" poem what it talks about nature. As I read on I could not help but think about the Creation. The line that really stood out to me and made me think that was, "The comparison contrasts human being with all other creatures" which caused me to think of how God separated man and gave him dominion over the plants and animals. Also, when nature is referred to as life it causes me to think about how God spoke nature into existence and gave it life.

The sentence that really grabbed my attention was, "What is deadly is not the much-discussed atomic bomb as this particular death-dealing machine. What has long since been threatening man with death, and indeed with the death of his own nature, is the unconditional character of mere willing in the sense of purposeful self-assertion in everything." When I first read it I was thinking how are atomic bombs less deadly? But we as humans tend to be more self destructive on ourselves than really anything else.

Overall I did enjoy the reading it was easier to understand than previous readings but I think what I enjoyed most was being able to see this kind of odd version of creation in my mind from the poem as stated above.

I commented on Will and Zelda's post.
