Silence
I have to say I absolutely love what I am reading so far but at the same time after getting halfway through to a stopping point I had the shakes from the intensity of what was being told. My heart was breaking and at the same time I was angry for what was going on even though I have no control.
As I read, the word 'silence' kept grabbing my attention. I am not sure if it is because we just finished reading Silence and I would always look for that word, but every time I would come across the word it would grab my attention.
When I got to the paragraph where it states, "Never shall I forget that night," literally gave me the chills. I really have no words for what to say about it because I feel what I say does not do what Wiesel actually says justice.
This book is just honestly amazing.

I remember when we first read this as a summer reading in high school, and it truly opened my eyes too so much injustice and new knowledge of the world around me! It is that profound of a book, and just a strengthener to me as to why good must prevail and racism must never be allowed to run free ANYWHERE.
