Nighttime Blog
Having read this book before in high school, I can confidently say that this book is more impactful the second time through. I can specifically remember the way I felt reading this the first time, and even now those same feelings of almost anger at my inability to do something for them, the sadness in the helplessness of those hurt and the eeriness of knowing that the words are not just a made up story: this is as real as it gets. The insurmountable pain and sorrow within each line just even more strengthen my convictions concerning the responsibility of good to triumph over evil and truth to shine the way for justice, rather than a silence concerning them.
