The Master and the what now?
First, can I say that no amount of Dr. Abernathy telling us this was going to be weird could have prepared me for this book.
Second, there are a lot of names in this book, of which I do not know how to pronounce and therefore had a hard time keeping track of.
Okay, done complaining (for now).
I find it interesting, how much more material we as a class have read about the way the devil operates and manipulates. We did it last semester and we are definitely doing it with this book. The way the story of Christ and his crucifixion is told was really interesting to me, written almost as if through pilate's eyes (I say almost because it's written in third person). I want to specifically talk about this moment:

'Is that everything? ' Pilate whispered soundlessly to himself. ' Yes,
it is. Now the name! ' And rolling his ' r 's over the heads of the silent
populace he roared : ' Bar-Abba! '
It was as though the sun detonated above him and drowned his ears in fire, a fire that roared, shrieked, groaned, laughed and whistled.
If any of you have seen that Facebook video about the people choosing Barabbas over Jesus, and that we are in fact the Barabbas' Jesus died for, then you might relate to me in saying that hit deep. Pilate's ear filled with a fire that was filled with the people's roars, shrieks, groans, laughs. The approval if you will. In one moment, a silent crowd burst with Jubilee at the condemnation of Christ to death.
While parts of the story he twists, even the devil could not discolor the utter darkness and evil of that moment in history.
Commented on Natalie's and Sohpie's.

Throughout this whole account of Jesus' crucifixion I wanted to yell and scream that the professor was lying and telling it all wrong...but I love how you bring out how no matter how hard he tried, there were just certain points that this manipulative snake of a...being... couldn't omit from the heaviness of Jesus and Pilate's interaction. He paints Jesus as passive, subjective and anxious, yet Pilate takes notice after he condemns Him, he cannot look Jesus in the face and even nature surrounding his palace dies. Why is that? OH YEAH, PROBABLY BECAUSE JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD=DIVINITY HIMSELF.
